"I am beyond grateful to Esther for the acupuncture sessions I had to speed up my recovery from bell’s palsy. After every session (I had 5) I noticed considerable improvement each time - she’s knowledgeable and so kind. I’m delighted to have my smile back to normal, thank you so, so much! Highly recommended and a total convert to acupuncture! X."

"WOW acupuncture with Esther Marsal has completely changed my life. I was suffering with severe anxiety , so bad i couldn't leave the house unaccompanied and unable to go to work. After my first session i felt like someone had lifted the weight of the world off my shoulders. Esther kept in contact over lockdown offering support and has worked with me to conquer my problems. I am now back on track , back to work and feeling like i am in control for the first time in a long time. I cannot recommend Esther and the team at Riverside highly enough, They are highly professional and always welcoming.. "

"I highly recommend Riverside Chiropractic. I book my appointments with Esther, she is great and so kind. I am not to sure what is it but from the moment I step into the room I feel calm and relaxed. Reflexology and acupuncture helps me to battle day to day life stress. ".
New Research
Acupuncture is the top therapy for arthritis (extract from JCM)
Acupuncture is the most effective complementary therapy for treating osteoarthritis, and also scores highly for other chronic musculoskeletal pain conditions, according to a report by the charity Arthritis Research UK. The report summarises current evidence for practitioner-based complementary therapies that are commonly used to treat rheumatoid and osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia and low back pain. The report found a lack of scientific evidence to support the use of most of the twenty-five therapies considered. Each therapy was scored according to its effectiveness on a scale of one to five, based on published data from clinical trials. Effectiveness was measured in terms of improvements in pain, disability or quality of life. In addition the safety of each therapy was graded as green, amber or red. The therapies that were shown to be the most effective were: acupuncture for osteoarthritis (scored 5), low back pain (4) and fibromyalgia (4); massage for fibromyalgia (5) and low back pain (5); tai chi for osteoarthritis (4); and yoga for back pain (4).
